DO NOT GIVE UP ON GOD

Monday, 13th January – Monday of week 1 of the year

Reflecton: 1 Samuel 1:1-8

DO NOT GIVE UP ON GOD

Our faith in God should be unconditional. For even when a father denies his child a gift, he never ceases to be the Father and so it is for us as Christians. Hannah, the wife of Elkanah was barren and for years looked up to God for a child but year after year, none came. However, she kept going to Shiloh to offer sacrifice and worship the Lord of host. She was taunted for being childless and for this she wept. But, in all these, she did not lose hope in God.

Dear Friends, are we in a turbulent sea with no one to calm the storm despite our faith in God? Are there troubles or challenges in our life that constantly weigh us down or pains with no sign of relief even though we hope in God? And are we allowing these circumstances to question our faith in God?

Friends, let us know that in all things God works for the Good of those that Love him (Romans 8:28). Even though things may not be working out the way we want it, but we can be sure that they are working out as God has planned it for us. Therefore, let us keep our hope in God alive, for He who created us knows what is best for us.

Remember, God is never late, He is always on time. So Do Not Give Up On God, because He will NEVER GIVE UP ON YOU.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank you for giving me the grace to know you are always faithful, help me to keep my faith and hope alive in you always. Amen

  1. Studying the scriptures daily following the readings of the church brings to life the real essence of God’s message for the day in our daily commonly – lived lives. I found it so!
God bless us all – Amen.
