AN ENCOUNTER WITH THE MASTER

Monday 17th March- Feast of Saint Patrick, 2nd Patron of Nigeria

Reflection: Luke 5: 1-11

AN ENCOUNTER WITH THE MASTER

As children of God, we all need regular encounters with the master. Apostle Paul had an encounter and his life never remained the same. Today, Simon Peter and his partners the sons of Zebedee had encounter with the master, Jesus Christ. Their lives were transformed, thier vision enlightened and impossibility became possible.

When we meet with Christ, we realize how sinful we are and with all humility confess our sins. A Christian who does not have a regular encounter with the master walks without direction and has a high tendency of missing the right path.

A single experience with Jesus turns our lives around for the best but submission and obedience to the master is necessary.

PRAYER: Father Lord, I want to have a divine experience with you. Make this possible in your holy name so that I will have testimonies. Amen.

KNOW YOUR FAITH: YOUCAT 361 – What does it mean for a Christian to be baptized with a particular name?

“In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”, the person is baptized with a name. The name and the face are ultimately what make a person unique, even in God’s sight. “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine” (Isaiah 43:1).

HIDE A TREASURE: “Above everything, love one another earnestly, because love covers over many sins.” 1 Peter 4:8 GNB

Readings for today: 1 Peter 4:7-11; Psalm 96:1-3, 7-10; Luke 5: 1-11
