Reflection: Luke 12:39-48

“TO WHOM MUCH IS GIVEN…”

For sure, this is a popular phrase and you can as well complete it. Everything that God has created has a purpose and hence, has something to offer. We are not created empty. God has filled us with numerous gifts and talents. The question now is do you know yours? That is where it all begins. You must first be able to identify the unique gift or talent that God has bestowed upon you before you can even start using it. So how do you come to recognize these gifts?

Some gifts are easily recognizable, while some are hidden and require greater discernment to bring them to the surface. Both ways, God has the master-plan of your life and it is only in communion with Him that you can truly discover yourself and your talent. You can decide to take a few days of retreat, “that sounds weird” you may say, but it is worth it beloved. After all that is why you are here on earth- to use your gifts and talents to glorify God and to serve humanity. So it is worth given due attention to find out what exactly it that God has placed in you. As these gifts become evident to you, ask God for guidance on how to use them for His glory. Begin the search today and “you will find”. Once you have discovered and started making use of it, you will find yourself filled with boundless joy because you are doing what you were created to do.

PRAYER:  Ask the Father to lead you into a voyage of discovering the special gifts He has place in you this season. 

KNOW YOUR FAITH:  CCC 2427 – Human work proceeds directly from persons created in the image of God and called to prolong the work of creation by subduing the earth, both with and for one another. Hence work is a duty: “If anyone will not work, let him not eat. “Work honors the Creator’s gifts and the talents received from him. It can also be redemptive.”
