FREE FOOD FOR ALL

Sunday 3rd August – 18th Sunday of the year

Reflection: Isaiah 55:1-3

FREE FOOD FOR ALL

Today, God the Father is making a clarion call to all men, including you, beloved. He calls you to a free banquet. He says that it will cost you nothing. (Is.55:1c). You can imagine when God Himself prepares a banquet for you, it would so enriching, both to the soul and body. Jesus says that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4). The word of God has the capacity to satisfy both our spiritual and physical hunger simultaneously. Remember the feeding of the five thousand, Jesus satisfied both their spiritual and physical craving all at the same time.

God invites us to His banquet of love today. This banquet is the place of extreme and unfathomed satisfaction to all the cravings of our soul. It is often said that human beings are insatiable, but in the banquet of God, your cup will be full and overflowing. (Psalm 23:5). In other words, you get to a level where the glory and favour of God will so immense in your life that you will then become a channel and distributor to others. Beloved, this is the life that God has called you to. A life of being a blessing to everyone around us, and not just to ourselves alone.

We may freely attend this banquet. How? The Word of God is the key. It contains the hidden treasures to all of God’s blessings. The more you access it, and let it transform you inwardly, then you will begin to experience “unmerited favour”- Grace.

PRAYER: “Father I come this day to be a partaker of your innumerable blessings, let my life be a blessing to others. Amen.
